Every time I leaned into playfulness the universe gave me some sprinkles on top!
I found the support group to be a warm and welcoming place with so much support from all the artists.
every. single. MONDAY night folks get together in a Zoom Room aka βThe Loungeβ to create, share, & connect through our creativity ~ FREE to join, always
now, about last night β¦
3 things to chew on, take with you, & activate your creative energy
Overthinking
Question: Do you notice your overthinking when it comes to creativity?
Reflection: To overthink is easy to do and can spiral us out of control, activating our inner critics, judgements, or even give us reasons to not make things - to not be creative or show up for our creative selves.
Action: Be in tune, in awareness to your overthinking patterns this week and despite any reason you come up with β¦ practice showing up for your creative self.
Time
Question: Do you feel like you donβt have enough time?
Reflection: Time was a topic we discussed during the Artist's Way Support Group this week and Danielle reminded us that: time IS relative. Activating your creative energy has the power to extend time.
Action: Activate this energy! Whether it is 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or 60+ minutes β¦ incorporate a creative act into your week and allow yourself to get into the flow state β¦ proceed to feel time disappear. What magic?
Play
Question: What does play look like for you?
Reflection: Playing with art materials, playing in the studio, playing on a playground, playing with a new toy - it is all exploring and this is instinctive to our nature as creative beings. It is important and natural and needs to be nurtured.
Action: List 5 ways that you can nurture your playful self this week. Do the thing.
