now, about last night …
3 things to chew on, take with you, & activate your creative energy
The Power of Saying No
Question: How often do you say “no” to things?
Reflection: Practicing saying “no” is an empowering choice … choosing YOU, yourself, + what is best/needed for you (in that moment or situation) can lead yourself on a healing path, but it is indeed a practice.
Action: Take time to pause when making a decision ~ slow down and think … go inward … remind yourself that YOU have the power in saying “no” to the next request, event, ask, ect. Ask yourself: what do I want/need?
The Power of Rest
Question: Pause. Do you need more rest?
Reflection: Rest is not always the physical act of sleeping (listen to the short podcast episode at the bottom to expand this idea)… it can look like so many things (dancing, cooking, reading, meditating, walking). REST can teach us to be present ~ to be in the moment with little-no distractions ~ and can allow us to learn more about ourselves.
Action: Listen to the podcast episode “ Rest for Success” and choose one way you can rest this week.
The Power of Accountability
Question: Who or what is holding you accountable?
Reflection: I started this art community and Monday night art meet-ups to hold myself accountable ~ to show up ~ to make things! I believe that everyone has the potential and power to work towards their dreams, but that is WORK! Setting goals, checking-in, showing up.
Action: Take out paper, a pen, and journal about accountability ~ make a web ~ a list ~ a drawing … in what ways can you work towards more accountability to accomplish what you want? You have the power!
