I’m really proud of myself for showing up tonight!
Did you know every single Monday night we host Zoom art meet-ups? Join any time!
now, about last night …
3 things to chew on, take with you, & activate your creative energy
Discord
Question:
Reflection: I’m exploring the platform Discord as a way for folks to connect at a deeper level … introducing themselves, sharing their art, images, hosting Q&A sessions, office hours, ect … lots of potential in this space to really creative a beautiful, connected community and learn from each other.
Action: Take the poll! If you’re curious and unfamiliar … take a look into Discord … Google search & dip your toe in! Make a profile if you’e like to be a part of this new, energetic space and stay tuned for our LAUNCH coming very soon.
Challenges
Question: Have you set creative challenges for yourself?
Reflection: Last night, someone shared about their current creative challenge: to get outside each day and practice taking videos on their digital camera. Personally, I’ve set 100 day sketchbook challenges to help me show up and get into that creative space, which has worked wonders.
Action: If it feels good, set a creative challenge for yourself.
Creative Well
Question: Have you ever thought of your creativity as a well?
Reflection: One of our Loungers talked about this “well” having different levels at different seasons and that is okay! I think it’s an interesting metaphor to use when thinking about your creative practice and assessing where you’re at and what you need.
Action: Draw or journal about your creative well.
What are your takeaways? Comment!
